Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday belong to the mass merchandisers. The deals start even earlier when some chains throw open their doors at 8 p.m. before the holiday feast is even digested.
However, small businesses can get a piece of the action on the third annual Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24, launched in 2010 by American Express.
Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a day of days dedicated to supporting the little guys and gals nationwide. Last year, more than 100 million folks made this day a success by hitting the mom ?n? pops and other small businesses, armed with credit cards and good will. The smaller biz folks hope even more of you will turn out this time.
Besides all kinds of deals and promotions, depending on the store, American Express cardholders may enroll to get $25 back when they spend that amount or more at a participating small biz location on Nov. 24.
