Facebook agrees to pay Menlo Park $1.5 million for second campus deal

Facebook Inc. agreed to give Menlo Park $1.5 million over 10 years and spend another $100,000 on local improvements, in a deal to expand into a second campus in the city.

The Palo Alto Daily News reports that the agreement is set to go to the City Council on Tuesday.

In early 2012, Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) agreed to pay Menlo Park $15.5 million over 15 years for permission to put 6,600 employees in its current headquarters there.
